JANG-E-SARAGARHI, Sight & Sound show at Yadavindra Public School, Mohali had the galaxy of top brass of Indian army officers as spectators, Chief Guest, CM Punjab, Capt. Amarinder Singh, GOC-in-C western command Lt Gen Surinder Singh, Commandant IMA S K Jha, Corp Commander Lt Gen A S Kler, GoC 1st Armoured Div. Maj Gen J S Sandhu, Brig IS Gakhal, Brig JS Arora, Raja Malwinder Singh, Capt. Amarjit Singh Jaijee and many serving and retired officers.
Based on Capt. Amarinder Singh’s much acclaimed book “Saragarhi and the Defense of Samana Forts”, JANG-E-SARAGARHI, a Sight & Sound Panorama has been produced & Directed by Shiromani Nirmata awardee Harbux Singh Latta, who pioneered the technique of Sight & Sound shows.
Chilling silence prevailed in the audience during Havadar Ishar Singh’s motivational speech to his fellow soldiers before the attack, underlining the call of duty (Naam, Namak & Nishan) that led the 21 Sikh soldiers of 36 Sikhs to their heroic demise.
