Synopsis
In the Battles that took place at Burj & Fatehpur, which fall to the North-West of the city of Amritsar, 66 Armoured Regiment commanded by Lt Col J S Cheema along with 15 Maratha LI & 9 Sikh LI uprooted Pakistani army from the Fatehpur enclave.
For its daring feat, the Regiment earned the Punjab Theatre Honour for its victory at Burj and Fatehpur posts alongwith the following awards: Lt RS Cheema- Vir Chakra, Dfr Raja Ram Yadav – Sena Medal & LD Munshi Ram – Mention-in-Dispatches.
